James R. Ping, II

James R. “Jay” Ping is a graduate of Truman State University in Missouri and Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington.  Since 2000 he has practiced law in Central Illinois, with an emphasis on family matters, including family-owned farms and businesses.  His work has included three years as staff attorney for the Chapter 13 Standing Bankruptcy Trustee, which gives him a unique perspective on bankruptcy law.  At Wozniak & Associates, Jay concentrates on family matters, including divorce, custody, financial support, and property division, as well as bankruptcy relief for debtors and creditors.  Jay lives in Philo with his wife and children, and many members of his large extended family live in Champaign County.
